I’ve recently done two talks on Edible Flowers for the New Zealand Herb Federation and have given away this information sheet to all attendees (with some edible flower seeds of course!).
It has a lovely list of edible flowers attached – quite an extensive one and the better of the lot I could find on the internet. This list is not complete though- there are a few that they have missed (e.g. Lemon Verbena blossoms), but I’ll try to add to it as I go along.
For more in-depth looks at a few of the edible flowers, browse through my Edible Flower Series – including herb flowers (e.g. thyme blossoms), companion flowers (e.g. Calendulas), weeds (e.g. Red Clovers), fruit (e.g. apple blossom), vegetables (e.g. marrow flowers) and even some pretty ornamentals (e.g. daylily flowers).
Have fun cooking with flowers!
